ANZAC DAY

Today we spent some time remembering all the men and women who have participated in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations around the world, including the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps)who fought at Gallipoli in Turkey during World War I. Tomorrow will be 100 years since the ANZACs landed at Gallipoli.

We made a poppy each and added it to our Prep A class wreath.
We also made a poppy in Art and added it to our garden.

Today, we also took part in an ANZAC day ceremony with the rest of our school community.

I wonder if your family does anything special on ANZAC day, or what ANZAC day means to you?

  1. The school service was beautiful yesterday, this morning Archie and I spoke about Anzac Day and I showed a picture of my Grand father who fought in World war 2. We will bake some Anzac cookies together later today. Lest we forget.
